TECHNICAL WRITER / PROJECT LEADER

Logitell, a leading educational publisher in Canada, is seeking a full-time technical writer and project leader to join their growing team in Mauritius.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating educational content primarily in French as well as coordinating various aspects of book production, ensuring timely and successful completion of projects from manuscript acquisition to final publication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Technical Writer

• Create educational content tailored to diverse student proficiency levels
• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy of educational content
• Ensure alignment of content with curriculum objectives and educational standards
• Collaborate with educators and subject matter experts
• Apply effective pedagogical principles to create engaging material
• Revise and update content based on feedback
• Create supplementary material

As Project Leader

• Oversee and coordinate the entire book production process
• Manage resources efficiently to meet project timelines and goals
• Collaborate effectively with authors, editors and other stakeholders
• Resolve any challenges or obstacles that may arise during the publishing process
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and publishing industry best practices
• Stay informed about industry trends and market demands

LOCATION

• Mauritius
• Teleworking

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Excellent proficiency of English and French
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to provide constructive feedback
• Project management capabilities

POSITION TYPE

• Contractual basis
• 40 hours a week

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• A master or degree in languages, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in content writing, preferably in a publishing or editorial environment
