Under the general guidance and supervision of the Sales & Marketing Manager and adhering to policies and procedures as meted out by the designated hotel and company
- Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in achieving the targeted revenues.
- Coordinate and conducts professionally hotel visits.
- To provide timely and accurate information to all parties concerned.
- Keep and maintain all files, documents and summaries up-to-date
- Attend to daily correspondence.
- Attend lunches and dinners on behalf of Sales and Marketing.
- Proposals and contracts sent to clients within 24 hours of enquiry and confirmation respectively.
- Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
- Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Gathering market and customer information and sharing this information with the management team
- Representing the resort at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
- Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
- Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
- Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
- Working in tandem with the Operations Team to exceed client expectations with zero negative feedback
- To effectively diagnose problems, thorough analyses all information/feedbacks received and strategize a win-win situation prior to presenting to the clients. Every negative situation with the Event Organizer must be resolved before the end of the Event and/or departure of the Event Organizer, whichever is the later.
- Understands the dynamics of competing hotels, assigned or otherwise, to solicit information for strategy building.
- Understands the total revenue impact of accounts on the hotels for better negotiation and yielding opportunities, and reviews business activities and its results to ensure goals are on pace.
- Develop strong, secure and productive business relations with all partners within portfolio under the geographic / market segment allocated.
- Carry our site inspections and meetings with existing and prospective business partners
- Host educational, FAM trips and visits
- Build relationships, network and maintain regular contact with DMCs and Tour Operators
- Maintain and Update trend partners contact (TO/DMC)
- Ensures that all incoming correspondence (inquiries, requests, offers, confirmations, etc.) are attended to and replied in due time.
- Assist to prepare Tour Operator and DMC contracts
- Follow up of contracts sent
- Regularly update the consolidated documents (Contracting Recap, Special Offers etc.…)
- Manage stock of marketing collaterals (sales gift, sales pack)
- Verify hotel content on local platforms such as Mari Deal, Deals.mu
- Assist Sales & Marketing Manager to achieve monthly targets and revenue
- Participate in Business trips (if any)
- Perform any cognate duty assigned by the Sales & Marketing Manager
