We are recruiting a detailed-oriented, dynamic, and ambitious individual to join our Restructuring practice. The successful candidate will work alongside and assist the team and take responsibility for the management of all debt restructuring cases.

 

We are recruiting a detailed-oriented, dynamic, and ambitious individual to join our Restructuring practice. The successful candidate will work alongside and assist the team and take responsibility for the management of all debt restructuring cases.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

· To handle corporate insolvency/restructuring assignments in accordance with company's standard procedures and compliance with relevant statutory obligations.

· To communicate any problems arising to the insolvency practitioner.

· To liaise with the creditors, directors, and other related parties throughout the assignment.

· Assist in drafting and reviewing of reports to creditors and other stakeholders.

· Supporting the team with client visits to carry out work and retrieve necessary books and records.

· Attending meetings of shareholders and creditors.

· Meeting deadlines set by senior members of the team.

· Ensures all cases are compliant in accordance with regulatory requirements.

· Deal with day to day written correspondence and telephone enquiries.

 

Requirements

· Holds 2 to 3 years of working experience in debt restructuring or insolvency matters.

· Preferably a degree in Banking/Finance or Law or any acceptable professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, etc)

· Familiar with the relevant Mauritian laws impacting company restructuring or insolvency matters or is a fast learner (Companies Act 2001, Insolvency Act 2009, Workers’ Rights Act, Income Tax Act, etc)

· Excellent analytical skills and the ability to demonstrate sound professional judgement.

· Must be highly organised and proactive.

· Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Excellent command of English and French language with strong written and verbal skills
