To lead the Maintenance Department towards increasing the current market while generating new business ventures.
Promote sales of ESP services that will benefit the customers & stakeholders.
Responsible for managing all operational aspects of the assigned region.
Duties:
- To lead the Maintenance Department within ESP LANDSCAPERS towards increasing the current market while generating new business ventures under the guidance of the General Manager.
- Promote sales of ESP services that will benefit the customers & stakeholders and to establish credibility through communication in a manner that will optimize market share, improve efficiency, help achieve mission and goals and result in outstanding customer service.
- Responsible for managing all operational aspects of the assigned region which comprise of maintenance of various projects in the residential, hospitality, commercial, public infrastructure, and domestic fields amongst others.
- Keep a strong working relationship with existing clients in order to secure current and future contracts.
- Planning of tasks and ensuring with subordinate employees that resources, machinery, and supplies are managed as per allowable.
- Reporting on operational or financial issues observed on site.
- Conduct quality control checks and progress of works through regular site visits.
- Oversee preparation of budget for the region, monitor/ control monthly progress and Budget vs Actual and report on variances.
- Responsible for preparation of tenders/ quotes and ensuring that they are sent to clients within deadlines.
- Oversee in defining resource requirements to adequately man the new contracts that will be implemented.
- Preparation of a yearly procurement schedule for his region, manage and approve procurement of new supplies and ensure that all sites are fully equipped as per contract.
- Analysing of fleet consumption and itinerary and oversee efficiently the fleet of machinery.
- Create a close relationship with HR Executive for any HR/ Payroll issues.
- Ensure regular follow up of debtors, invoicing and follow up of additional work.
- Implement KPIs for improved operational efficiency.
- Ensure that subordinate employees follow proper Safety and Health procedures at the workplace.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Holder of an MBA or degree in related field.
- At least ten years of working experience.
- Fully conversant with MS Office (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint, ACAD).
- Knowledge of plant species used in landscaping industry.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Good leadership and Management skills, Business communications skills and problem-solving skills coupled with a high level of integrity.
- The ability to organise, prioritise, meet deadlines, and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and French.
- Dynamic, focused, and reliable person.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to operate with the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary will be negotiable based on qualification & experience.
