As the Resident Manager of Mythic Suites & Villas, you will provide strategic leadership. MJ Holidays, a group in full expansion with the upcoming opening of its 3rd Resort in Mauritius.

 

As the Resident Manager of Mythic Suites & Villas (Grand Gaube), you will provide strategic leadership and oversee all aspects of resort operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and financial success. You will lead a team of department heads and supervisors, guiding them to achieve high standards of service excellence and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the resort's goals and objectives.
    • Analyze market trends, guest feedback, and financial performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Collaborate with senior management to establish budgets, revenue targets, and performance metrics.
  1. Leadership and Supervision:
    • Provide strong leadership and direction to department heads and supervisors, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of key personnel, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to encourage professional growth and excellence.
  1. Guest Relations:
    • Set high standards for guest service and satisfaction, ensuring that all guests receive personalized attention and prompt resolution of any issues or concerns.
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with guests to solicit feedback and enhance their experience.
    • Lead by example in demonstrating a commitment to exceptional hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
  1. Owners management:
    • Give full support to owners to ensure their expectations are met, while also representing their interests within the resort's management decisions. 
    • Ensure a clear and transparent communication with owners is essential to foster a strong partnership and ensure that their property is maintained properly & according to their requirements.
    • Additionally, the Resident Manager will work closely with owners to explore opportunities for property enhancements, renovations, or other repairs to keep the highest quality standards are maintained.
  1. Financial Management:
    • Manage the resort's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
    • Monitor revenue streams, expenses, and profitability, taking proactive steps to optimize revenue and minimize costs.
    • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to make data-driven decisions and drive financial success.
  1. Operations Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of resort operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and recreational services.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies governing resort operations.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
    • Ensure a close collaboration with the syndic and the various stakeholders on site to make sure that the services are delivered in a timely manner and with the highest standards
  1. Marketing and Sales:
    • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute strategies to attract new guests, drive occupancy, and increase revenue.
    • Identify opportunities for partnerships, promotions, and targeted marketing initiatives to expand the resort's market reach and brand presence.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within the hospitality industry, with a track record of success in resort management.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality operations, financial management, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to guest satisfaction, quality service, and continuous improvement.
The position requires you to live within 30 minutes of the Resort and have your own vehicle.
