Porter / Driver

Responsible for transporting goods, luggage, and other items between various locations, including hotels, airports, and other facilities. Strong understanding of safe and efficient driving practices, as well as excellent customer service is required.

we are looking for a Porter / Driver for our new Boutique Hotel, Constance Sakoa Boutik, based in Trou aux Biches

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report for duty as per the rota, clean and tidy wearing the correct attire and name badge
• Observe all company rules and regulations as regards to attitude, behavior, health, safety and security
• Inform management about guests’ arrival and departure
• Assist other departments when required
• Ensure all guest requests are handled quickly and efficiently

• Activate a quick response to guest issues, and then follow up to ensure the guest is satisfied with the end result
• Set an example within the department regarding department, attitude and professionalism
• Help guest with restaurant reservations outside and inside the resort
• Arrange tours/ excursions/ car hire for guests
• Ensure enough beach towels and water bottles are always appropriately stocked at the lower reception
• Ensure that  the lobby area, luggage room, entrance, furniture and equipment are always kept clean and neat at all times
• Deliver luggage, messages & parcels in a timely manner
• Drive & maintain vehicle according to hotel policy
• Report to Hotel Manager/ Front Office Executive any irregularities related to the hotel vehicle

• Ensure the resort’s car is clean and tidy at all times
• Conduct guest transfers in the resort’s car as required
• To comply with all company and local laws regarding, Fire & Health and Safety procedures
• To participate in any training sessions of the aforementioned
• To report and follow up any defects with equipment within the work environment
• To do any dispatch when and where required
• Perform any others duties as may be assigned by management.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Valid driving license
• At Least 2 - 3 years of experience as driver
• Effective communication skills and pleasant personality are a must
• Can Do Attitude
• Very energetic, fast & quick learner
• Previous experience in tourism industry would be an advantage
