The main role of the marketing assistant/marketing executive is to assist the marketing director/manager in creating the marketing plans and executing such plans.This involves all activities leading to the creation of leads for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following is a non-exhaustive list of duties:

• To execute marketing campaigns/events.
• To research articles and/or books to be sent to referral sources
• To manage office marketing systems
• To liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations, referrals leads etc.
• To keep calling engagements
• To arrange and support speaking arrangements, seminars and events;
• To operate TEAM 100 and PCR 250 networks and systems
• To operate sales service
• To liaising with designers, printers, photographers and others.
• To arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials at their stated time to the target audience.
• To maintain company CRM software and to ensure such is precise and updated
• To monitor competitor and market activities and report.
• To conduct market research.
• To contribute with management on the marketing plans and strategies.
• To participate in all media activities related to the company.
• To perform all marketing activities as required per marketing plan. (Includes cold calling, prospect visit, demonstration and more).
• To manage the marketing budget and manage report on the ROI on each campaign.
• To produce all the relevant marketing and management report (for the marketing department).
• To perform any cognate duties relevant to the role.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role may involve managing other marketing executive in a more collegial way and also more formal supervision of staff provided during marketing events.

Degree of Independence/Supervision

• Requires minimal supervisions on the job. Independently works under broad supervision and can manage one owns time efficiently.
• Follows principle of project and quality management.
• Perform hierarchical escalation only in situation of exception.
• Bachelor degree in Marketing Management, Sales Management, Business Administration and/or similar qualifications.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Network and rolodex are important

Qualifications and Experience

A lesser qualification may be accepted if this is compensated by suitable demonstrable real world experience.

Skills

Essential technical skills required are:

• Strong phone skills are essential and application must be comfortable speaking with all types of people
• Moderate to expert level in MS Office Suite.
• Experience in using CRM concepts/software
• Expert selling and negotiations skills.
• Desired experience in MS Project/SharePoint.
• Knowledge of marketing principles and sales funnel and understanding of conversion systems
• Superior customer service skills and demonstrated willingness to go above and beyond in delivering exceptional service.
