Job Title: Manager People Business Partner Department: Human Resources Reports To: Head of People
Summary: The Manager People Business Partner provides forward thinking, strategic HR consulting to Executives, Management and employees through participation in business strategy development, operational planning & execution and change management leadership. This position is responsible for driving alignment directly and indirectly as a leader, coach, project manager, change agent, problem solver and subject matter expert. This role is highly influential, consultative and advisory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 Provide senior level consulting and partner with executives & functional management to identify, establish and execute HR strategies that support business goals, strengthen organizational effectiveness, impact performance, morale, retention, motivation, employee engagement, and promote the development of employees and managers. Maintain an effective and respected relationship with the leadership team and assist them with delivering results.
 Responsible for helping Ceridian build a competitive advantage through superior people management practices. Partner with management and Talent Acquisition to create an environment that optimizes the critical people resources and matches them to the needs of the business.
 Designs and implements retention strategies focusing on key leaders and talent with core competencies and skills critical to the organization including utilization of reward and recognition programs, career development and initiatives for retention. May coordinate and/or facilitate professional skills training to address identified competency gaps within the business.
 Actively engage with all levels of employees to create and sustain a solid relationship network, maintain a reliable pulse on organization dynamics and behaviors that affect employee engagement and culture.
 Proactively recommend remedial actions to management and the HR organization where concerns may arise or patterns of employee issues could emerge. Also supports business unit design and redesign.
 Lead change within the business; design processes and approaches which prepare employees for ongoing change and transformation.
 Support the business with Succession planning - Workforce planning
 Support the business to build a high performance culture
 Provide employee relations support including: policy implementation, interpretation and enforcement. Swiftly resolve disputes and find solutions to problems. Conduct investigations and maintain impeccable documentation.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervision of other personnel is required in this position.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. Masters or relevant advanced degree preferred with 5-10 years of related human resource experience. Previous management experience required.
Basic Skills:
 Strong level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively and to direct staff. Must be able to develop strong relationships.
 Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment and effectively manage multiple projects, lead a team and develop team members into superior contributors.
 Ability to analyze complex information and provide effective solutions.
 Must have demonstrated skills in partnering with management and employees in areas of conflict resolution, employee relations, change management, and performance management.
 Successful candidate will have proven success in building rapport, working independently, multi-tasking and operating in a fast paced changing environment and working with diverse employee groups.
 Strong strategic skills with proven ability to develop and implement a human resources vision in support of business goals and objectives.
