The Manager – Payments Projects and Support will oversee a multifaceted role encompassing project management and strategic business development within the Cards and Payments sector.

 

Job Purpose:

The Manager – Payments Projects and Support will oversee a multifaceted role encompassing project management and strategic business development within the Cards and Payments sector. Initially, the focus will be on leading key projects. Concurrently, the Program Manager will spearhead initiatives aimed at launching and expanding new card products and services, contributing to the organization's growth trajectory. This pivotal role will involve driving projects spanning both card acquisition and issuance, with the overarching objective of preparing for a transition into a business leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver projects within agreed timeline, budget, and resources effectively to deliver within scope and on schedule.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and milestones.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to acquiring teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements as needed.
  • Initiate and lead the launch of new products.
  • Oversee the implementation of any other required enhancements or initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new card products and services.
  • Develop strategies for scaling the business, including market analysis, competitor research, and customer segmentation.
  • Gradually transition into a business leadership role, taking ownership of end-to-end business management for specific card products.
  • Develop and execute strategies for market penetration, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Coaches, develops, and motivates team, evaluating performance for growth opportunities and providing regular feedback.
  • Build a positive team culture with strong positive engagement.

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience in launching and scaling card products or related financial products.
  • Strong understanding of card acquiring and issuance processes and technologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Dedication to ongoing learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintain a results-oriented mindset, consistently striving for excellence and achieving goals.
