We are looking for a talented & dynamic Learning & Development Specialist (Leisure Cluster) to join our team; The right profile will be responsible in managing our different Business Units namely; Bel Ombre Nature Reserve, Le Chamarel Restaurant, Chamarel 7 Coloured Earth & World of Seashells.
Overview of the role:
The Learning & Development Specialist (Leisure Cluster) will be responsible in managing our different Business Units such as Bel Ombre Nature Reserve, Le Chamarel Restaurant, Chamarel 7 Coloured Earth & World of Seashells. He/She will also ensure a learning process of all operatives and monitor that they have the appropriate skills and stay competent for their jobs after the identification and of the training needs; Design, plan and implement training programs, policies nad procedures to fulfill those needs and lastly conduct pre and post performance evaluations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management and the Head of People Development to identify training needs
- Organize a training calendar and schedule appropriate training sessions
- Conduct Pre and Post training evaluation
- Design trainings according to needs
- Deliver training to staff and operatives and provide appropriate guidance
- Oversee and direct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions, and lectures with the Head of People Development
- Plan and implement an effective training curriculum
- Assist the Head of People Development with the training budgets
- Prepare training materials and support such as module summaries, videos, and presentations
- Train and guide newcomers and existing Team Members
- Assist the Human Resources department with the Onboarding of new recruits
- Develop monitoring systems to ensure that all Team Members are performing job responsibilities according to training
- Create and organize strategic Team buildings
- Create course modules on the Online platform ('Click N Learn')
- Keep records of trainings and statistics
- Organize and ensure good running of external trainings
- Assist in the training plan of interns
- Follow-up of the On-the-Job training, attendance, and evaluation
- Deliver literacy sessions to selected staff
Candidate's Profile:
- Knowledge of the Hospitality industry is a must
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches
- Solid knowledge of the latest training techniques
- A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a learning or Hospitality training position
- Impressive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strategic networking, thinking and team building organizer
