Job Responsibilities
- Creating user accounts and managing access control based on company policies.
- Setting up workstations for new employees and providing IT introductory training.
- Desktop maintenance and updates, performance monitoring and hardware maintenance.
- Troubleshooting Microsoft operating systems, M365 and other company applications.
- Providing support for the organization’s network including LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
- Providing support for Telephone systems and other VOIP calling subscriptions.
- Providing support after normal working hours when necessary.
- Performing system backups and conducting tests for data restores.
- Following documented processes.
- Promptly follow up on all assigned Help Desk tickets and other assigned tasks.
- Maintain technical proficiency in all software, hardware and web-based applications assigned and applicable to the role.
Qualifications
- Has atleast 2 years of experience in the IT field
- Possess an understanding of the principles of TCP/IP-based networks.
- Understanding of networking technologies, cabling, patch-panels, IP subnetting, DHCP, encryption, and Virtual Private Networks.
- Knowledge of computer workstation functionality and components.
- Must be both able and willing to document.
- Must have a proactive approach to dealing with errors/complaints.
- Reliable, and can be counted on to work all scheduled workdays.
- Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Positive attitude
