TASK / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Policies and Procedures

  • Follow up on the implementation of any legal requirements and ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law to ensure compliance.                                                                                                                   
  • Developing human resources policies, maintaining and updating policy manuals as well as employee handbooks as required.                                                                                   
  • Advise department managers, supervisors and employees in the interpretation and application on human resources policies and procedures; serve as liaison and provide technical expertise to resolve human resource related issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures & programs.                                          
  • Responsible to ensure that each departments of the company respects the procedures , rules and regulation pertaining to the Human Resources issues and provide assistance in case of failure to do so. Ensure that confidentiality is being maintained by the HR Dept and performs proper monitoring to ensure that all confidential documents and data are under close control.                                                                                                                    

Recruitment and Selection

  • Set up appropriate recruitment procedures and conduct/participate in the selection of internal candidates and submit appropriate recommendations; interview and test new candidates, verify education qualifications and previous employment records; manage the advertisement and filling of local vacancies, advise applicants on the route of the nature of the responsibilities to be performed as well as entitlements and career prospects.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to adopt positive attitude towards Company goals. Conduct post probation review                                                                              

Performance Appraisal

  • Administer performance evaluation/appraisal programs and revise as necessary to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organisation.                                        
  • Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development.              

Training and Development

  • Assist the Heads of Department in the qualification of training needs based on the company's requirements and make necessary recommendations. Planning of yearly training calendar, organisation of training (equipments, training room and notification to trainees), and assessment of employees further to training done.                                                             
  • Follow up on HRDC grant application and refund.                                                              
  • Strive to continously build knowledge and skill. Stay current with developments in the HR field by attending professional development and training sessions on a regular basis and share expertise with others.

Factory Personels                                        

  • Negotiating with staff and their representatives on issues relating to pay, work conditions and other related issues.                                                                                                            
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.                                      
  • Manage the uniform/overall and other ameneties such as gloves, safety googles for employees.                                                                                                                                

Support

  • Giving feedback on all HR issues to top management on a regular basis                                 
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.                                            
  • Raising proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.                                           
  • Manage welfare committee and propose CSR activities to top management                                                                                                                   

Health and Safety

  • Participate in people branding activities together with head office and showroom staffs.                                                                     

HR                                         

  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters
  • Be responsible for aligning Business strategy with People strategy and act as the HR Business partner to organization.                                                                                          
  • Chairing monthly HR meetings with heads of the various departments of the company. Have a weekly meeting with Top management                                                                               
  • Administering and keeping information on benefits and compensation packages up-to-date.   
  • Liaise with Labour Offices, lawyers, consultants, and any other person/institution related to HR issues.
  • Communicate and work in close relation with Middle managers and upper-level Management on all applicable HR and staffing matters.   

Expatriate management              

  • Prepare reports and recommend procedures to tackle with Human Resources related issues such as absenteeism, latenesses and turnover.                                                                
  • Process all the paper work and liase with concerned bodies in a timely manner.                                          
  • Ensure all permits and licenses are updated.                                                                           


Payroll Management     

  • Ensure the payroll is correctly computed on sicorax                                                                 
  • Administering payroll for factory workers. Ensuring the maintenance of all payroll input by the HR Officer and that payslips are distributed to employees.                                                 
  • Develop, implement and annually review compensation programs; rewrite job description as necessary with the collaboration of Heads of department; analyses compensation to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the company.                                                                                                          

Termination of contract 

  • Management of legal issues pertaining to Industrial Relations. A proper process is put in place to facilate a smooth termination for both parties.
