The Head of Facilities will be accountable for maintaining and upkeeping the Bank’s assets, ensuring that they comply with legal requirements and health and safety regulations.

 

The Head of Facilities will be in charge of the Bank’s security, maintenance and service providers as well as ensuring that they fulfil all the needs of the Bank and its stakeholders; while supervising and settling contracts with suppliers, while staying in the budgets and ensuring cost efficiency. The Head of Facilities will also be accountable for maintaining and upkeeping the Bank’s assets, ensuring that they comply with legal requirements and health and safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance and ensure effective budget planning for the best interest of the Bank.
  • To manage contractual arrangements for soft services contracts, including: office cleaning and waste; catering and food supplies; security and safety systems; site management; mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Manage services and procedures to support the Bank's core business and provide a conducive work environment for employees and activities.
  • Lead both strategic planning and day-to-day operations for facilities management inside the Bank, as well as preparing for potential growth in accordance with Bank's strategic goals.
  • Use the latest business techniques to enhance efficiency by lowering operating expenses while boosting production, as well as figuring out and comparing costs for essential goods or services to get the optimum value for money.
  • Direct, oversee, and collaborate with the work of suppliers, plan the best allocations and consumption of space and resources for new structures, or re-organise current settings, evaluate the availability and compatibility of options for new location, and set up documents to issue bids to service providers.
  • Coordinate and plan central services, including reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and recycling while assuring that the bank's buildings comply with health and safety standards and that facilities adhere to legislation.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Degree in Engineering from a recognised institution or any equivalent qualification acceptable to the Bank.
  • Proven experience of at least 7 years in facilities management or related area.
  • Solid understanding of Facilities Management functions and responsibilities.
  • Good knowledge of Safety and Health Policy, and other compliance and regulatory requirements.
