The successful Financial Controller will be responsible for the collection and processing of accurate financial data and costing analysis. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and managing a small finance team.
Main duties and responsibilities will include the following:
FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, SECRETARY & ADMINISTRATION
- Preparation and reviewing monthly management accounts and Financial statements
- Preparation of yearly budgets and forecasts
- Ensure proper running of the accounting & finance departments
- Safeguard the assets of the company
- Integrity in all aspects of the company and reporting on any matters requiring attention
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensure all departments receive adequate finance information for the proper running of the company
- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
- Implement operational best practices
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and MRA
- Represent the company with banks and other authorities
- Develop financial and tax strategies
- Preparing board resolutions
- Filing of annual return and financial statements
- Tax computation
- Preparation and submission of PAYE, TDS, NPF AND CTX returns
- Assisting in any ad hock project of the company

- Chartered Accountant (ACCA/ACA or CIMA)
- Atleast 5 years’ experience in retail sector
- Advanced excel skills
- Sage/ Quickbooks/ ERP experience Desirable
