Dietitian

Reporting to the Head of Medical Services, the selected candidate will be responsible to see in-patients, out-patients and to carry out any other tasks deemed apt for this position.

What you will be doing:

• Devising menu plans for admitted patients to enhance intake and recovery, after consultation with the Medical and Nursing team. 
• Liaising with diet supervisors, kitchen attendants, kitchen staff and other relevant staff to ensure that there is a correct understanding and application of menu plan. 
• Counsel, using evidence-based practice, all referred patients on diet plans for home and carry out follow-ups, if required, within a defined time-frame.  To also explain diet plans to family members/ carers, as appropriate.
• To maintain and upscale the quality of Dietetic service provided, by continuously improving processes, to enhance patient feedback pertaining to the department.
• To monitor compliance of the Nursing and Medical team in using the Patients’ Malnutrition Screening tool, as part of CHKS requirements, and any other policies and procedures applied by the department.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Dietetics
• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a Hospital/Healthcare Institution
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• Attentive and patient with customers.
