The United Basalt Products Ltd is seeking to recruit one assiduous Design & Project Coordinator
Key responsibilities
Engineering and Design:
- Design equipment, structures and plants in order to implement in existing or new system:
- Carry out Surveys and Studies
- Perform Engineering Design, Calculations and Drawings (Equipment, Structural, Layout, Process, etc)
- Prepare Methodologies, Technical Analysis, Reporting and Recommendations
- To be the Technical Support
- Any Associated Cognate Duties
Project Management:
- Participate in the Project Development / Initiation Phase:
- Analysing Actual System(s)
- Providing Proposals/Recommendations & Specifications for System(s) based on clients’ needs, own surveys, designs, reports, analysis and instructions/recommendations
- Perform Technical Feasibility Analysis of the Projects
- Preparation of Projects Scope (with Client) and Budget Estimates prior to submission to Clients
- Manage, follow-up and oversee the Specific Projects and Tasks:
- Preparing the Project Charters
- Project Planning (by Work Breakdown Structure), Execution (follow-ups mainly), Monitoring and Control
- Projects Progress, Scope, Cost and Schedule Follow-up and Management
- Good Coordination Skills and Stakeholders Management
- Request for Risk Assessment from the H&S Officer
- Attending Project & Progress Meetings
- RFQ to Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Prepare Work/Project Contracts with Stakeholders/Contractors
- Prepare Post-Mortem Reports
- Any Associated Cognate Duties
Candidate profile
- Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and/or any relevant equivalent qualification
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar post
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools
- Proficiency in Robot Structural Analysis and Advance Steel would be an advantage
- PMP Training would be an advantage
- VBA Coding would be an advantage
- Sound knowledge of mechanical and structural steels design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in English and French
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility, ‘Can Do’ Attitude and detail-conscious
- Holder of a valid driving license
