Our client, MFD is recruiting a Data Analyst

 Overview:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analysing data to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and business strategies. The latter needs to have strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

 Responsibilities: 

• Collect and consolidate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Clean and pre-process data to remove inconsistencies, errors, and duplicates.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
• Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to analyse complex datasets.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.
• Interpret data and provide actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
• Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying and addressing issues as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communications Skills to work with local and international solutions and services providers and partners. Report on works assignments / work statuses and follow-up on helpdesk tickets on time.
• Any other cognate duties, instructions as may be given by the hierarchy.

Qualifications: 

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a business or analytical role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Experience with databases and data visualization tools such as MS SQLServer, PostgreSQL,MariaDB,MyReport BE, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS) is a plus.
• Certification in data analysis or related fields is desirable.
