Customs Supervisor

Our company is seeking a qualified and experienced supervisor to join our team.

Job description of Customs Supervisor

▪ Process customs clearances of all in bound cargo via AIR & SEA as per prevailing laws and regulations.

▪ Follow up with customs broker for all outsourced clearances.

▪ Follow up with shipping lines

▪ Generation of IRN on Tradelink platform and appointment of trucker

▪ Ensure timely removal of all containers to avoid demurrages

▪ Follow up of all foreign orders pertaining to goods

▪ Validation of draft bill, packing list, weight, and other relevant import/export documents

▪ Work closely with existing stakeholders (Production, Commercial) to maintain service levels

▪ Liaise with all multi-functional departments, suppliers, government agencies, local/foreign governmental authorities, freight forwarders, importers, exporters etc al as required to prepare and process relevant Bills of entries

▪ Handle clearance of local imports and exports

▪ Application & follow up of all individual relevant permits.

▪ Timely renewal of all relevant permits

▪ Preparation of foreign payment requests for manager validation

▪ Generation of essential reports such as supply chain tracker and report same to management and internal stakeholders

▪ Handle all customs queries, MRA queries

▪ Attend verifications at sea & airport for all inbound cargo

▪ Mentor and support less experienced staff, assisting them with queries and advise as and when required.

▪ Responsible for tackling more complicated and challenging clearance processes and addressing the more challenging issues that may arise.

▪ Other cognate duties as assigned by your reporting line

 Requirements and skills

• 2-5 years proven work experience as a Clearance / Broker
• Familiar with MNS - Tradelink
• Fluent in French & English
