The job of a customer service assistant could encompass a range of customer-oriented tasks, including handling complaints about a product or service, making sales (online), or providing consumers with information.

 

A customer service assistant is the primary point of contact between a business and its customers. 

The customer service assistant will take online orders, dispatch orders and handle complaints/returns or exchanges.

You'll need:

  • excellent customer service skills
  • the ability to handle and resolve difficult situations
  • IT and administration skills
  • accuracy and attention to detail

Your day-to-day activities may include:

  • answering customers' questions by phone, email, webchat or face-to-face
  • giving price information and checking product availability
  • handling complaints
  • entering customer information onto a computer database
  • tracking orders and giving refunds
  • dispatching orders
  • upload product with description on website
  • send text messages or call clients to inform them of new arrivals
Qualification:
  • Minimum HSC required
