Assistant Financial Controller

We are looking for a talented professional willing to be part of a vibrant company geared towards the sustainable development of its property activities.

 

Duties and responsibilities
• Establish, monitor and enforce internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow, provide information and collaborate with external auditors to ensure proper compliance.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
• Review of financial feasibilities of property projects prepared by the asset management team.
• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.
• Lead the update of the manual of procedure.
• Report monthly financial management information pack.
• Prepare budgeting, planning and forecasting reports.
• Prepare and deliver yearly Statutory Accounts.
• Ensure the corporation Tax, VAT and TDS returns are submitted on timely basis.
• Attend monthly asset management meetings with managers to discuss financial performance.
• Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers.
• Lead monthly meetings with technical department for reporting of project costs.
• Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, motivating and training employees.
• Execute any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.


Candidate’s Profile
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA) with at least 7 years post qualification experience.
• Ability to work with scheduled deadlines.
• Ability to function in a leadership role.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability to understand data privacy standard.
• High attention to details, good judgment and analytical ability.
• Strong negotiation, planning and organizing skills.
