Assistant Cook - Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber

Supports chefs and have duties such as maintaining supplies, handling leftovers, preparing food, testing new recipes, cleaning the kitchen, keeping cooking utensils organized, and plating dishes.

• Assisting the Cook in food preparation activities, such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling food ingredients.
• Cleaning and sanitising the food preparation areas based on company and industry hygiene codes and health and safety standards.
• Washing, disinfecting and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Buying, weighing and storing ingredients and food supplies as per SOP.
• Managing inventory, unloading supplies and organising the storeroom.
• Prepares Mise en Place of food, as per instructions of supevisors.
• Assists superior in the cooking process in terms of hygiene, quality, quantity, timing and costs.

Profile:

• Secondary Academic Qualifications.
• Great attention to detail and creativity.
• Organizing and leadership skills.
• Any relevant certificate (NTC) from the Hotel School or any other recognised institution.
• Previous relevant professional experience in kitchen.
• Fluent in reading and writing French and English.
• Ready to work odd and flexible hours.
