Assistant Accountant

The candidate will be responsible for various tasks in the Finance department, such as preparing and monitoring monthly financial accounts, conducting financial analysis and providing support during audits.

 

Key Responsibilities

•Supplier Management: Conduct monthly supplier reviews and debtors ageing.
•Operations: Assist the Finance Manager in the day-to-day operations of the department.
•Inventory: Perform monthly reconciliation of stock and purchases.
•Budget: Prepare and monitor budgets for concerned departments.
•Audit and Compliance: Provide assistance during audits and in the implementation of internal controls as per the accounting policies.
•Reporting and Analysis: Prepare annual financial statements and monthly management accounts.
•Statutory Returns: Complete monthly statutory returns (VAT and TDS).

Qualifications & Experience

•Degree in Accounting and Finance, and/or partial ACCA diploma.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
•Good knowledge of IAS/IFRS.
•Good understanding of applicable laws and financial regulations.
