Sotravic Limitee is seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer for its office at Coromandel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- ACCA Level 2 or Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Accounting/Finance, or Equivalent
- Higher School Certificate with Accounting and Mathematics
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ work experience as accounts officer or similar
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Good numeracy and analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Good Communication Skills
DUTIES:
- Assist in the processing of invoices, record monthly journal entries for specific and recurrent items
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills and expenses
- Generate and send out invoices to customers
- Follow up on overdue payments and manage collections
- Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations
- Ensure that accruals and prepayments are systematically monitored.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget
- Preparing financial analysis and reports
- Attend to internal and external auditors’ inquiries as and when required.
- Comply with all departmental controls relating to best practices
- Prepare subcontractor progress status report
- Receive and keep a record of all approved subcontractors’ payments
- Completeness of documentation related to subcontractor prior submission to AP team for payment
- Analysis and verify the certificate received from QS
- Any other cognate duty
OTHERS:
- Experience in ERP (BuildSmart) would be an advantage
