Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proficient in efficient marker making
- Sampling and Production Process
- Develop size sets for sample designs
- Interprets the client’s designs in the form of the garment components
- Test all aspects of the patterns by making and fitting sample garments, including but not limited to outlined parts to be joined, positions of pleats, pockets, buttonholes, and other features
- Generate master pattern for each size within a range of garment sizes by using both grading software and instruments as well as manual drafting and charting
- Optimise layout of pattern pieces to minimise waste of material, considering all the fabric variants
- Produce guide lines for markings on materials or work piece
Experience / Skills:
- Minimum SC or equivalent certificate
- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design or Textile would be an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in similar position
- Knowledge of Lectra Modaris pattern-making software is a must
- Knowledge of different knitted fabrics, fitting, grading, garment construction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hardworking with a flexible attitude
- Well organised and able to multi-task and work towards tight deadlines
