GENERAL

• Good knowledge of the Opera system, micros and well versed with Le CLUB fidelity program.
• Able to assist any potential guest who is asking information on hotel facilities.
• Good knowledge of using credit card machine.
• Familiar with room rates and reservation procedure.
• Doing check-in and check-out of guest overnight.
• Be aware of Sofitel Brand standard and ensure compliance at all times.

NIGHT AUDIT

• Ensure Focus and internal control requirements are applicable at all times.
• Verify the correct rate/room category as per voucher  is entered on the system on a daily basis.
• Verify all departure have been clear from Opera and credit sales transfered to the correct TO.
• Any anomalies should be reported to the Income Auditor and respective HOD.
• Ensure all point of sales have been closed properly and print out daily transaction summary.
• Ensure all cash sales and credit card sales is recorded and tally with opera.
• Ensure that the batch analysis from the different banks agree to the credit card payments on the guest services summary.
• Ensure all print outs for the finance department are done before date change.
• All date changes are done correctly. I.e business, point of sales, audit and telephone date.
• Ensure the collection of revenue in all revenue generated department and prepare room statistics.

CASHERING

• Manage the cash float and always update on current currencies.
• Ensure billing instruction is adhere to as per departmental policy.
• Foreign exchange transation and paid out vouchers.
• Doing key card for guest as per hotel policy.
• Balancing the cash sales, credit sales and forex book.
• Makes postings for chargeable recreational activities, outings, medication, etc.

SWITCHBOARD

• Answer telephone as per brand standard and always inform the recipient when passing a call.
• Keep track and ensure delivery of messages.
• Take orders of guests and inform Butler accordingly.
• Able to take reservation of a guest and give the rate for each category and meal plan accordingly.

HEALTH & SAFETY

• All defects should be reported immediately to your Manager.
• Be fully conversant with the departmental Fire, Tsunami and Bomb procedures.

TRAINING

• Attend and participate in all Sofitel Brand training or any relevant training.
• Attend and master all the relevant TWI training in your department.
