Job Title: Civil Engineer

 

Overview:

We're looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to our nature park projects. This role is perfect for a recent university graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience who's eager to learn and grow in the field of civil engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the nature park, gaining valuable hands-on experience and making a meaningful impact on environmental conservation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Civil engineering design and technical support:

  • Lead the conceptualization and design of building and civil engineering projects within the nature park.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans and specifications in accordance with regulatory standards and environmental considerations.

Project assistance and coordination:

  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Implement effective project management practices to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining project files and documentation.

Regulatory compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and local codes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals for project implementation.

Team collaboration:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including landscape architects, CAD technicians, and environmental specialists to integrate engineering solutions with natural landscapes and ecosystems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional registration with the CRPE would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project management and design.
  • Strong technical proficiency in engineering design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to nature park projects is a plus.
