Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Greet guests upon arrival and guide them to their tables when the hostess is unavailable.
- Take orders and offer recommendations, ensuring thorough knowledge of the menu.
- Communicate with kitchen staff regarding orders and any special requests.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by engaging with guests and addressing complaints promptly.
- Use suggestive selling and up-selling techniques to boost restaurant revenue.
Mise-en-place:
- Prepare and maintain the bar area for daily operations, including setting up tables, clearing soiled plates, and ensuring a sufficient supply of glassware, cutlery, and linen.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with setting up and clearing outdoor events/functions.
Cashiering:
- Operate the cashiering system according to established procedures.
- Prepare guest bills, handle cash and credit card transactions, and comply with audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and close bills on room charges per company standards.
Bar Service:
- Set up the bar for daily operations, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Dispense beverages according to guest orders, ensuring correct timing, mixture, and appearance.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and report feedback to the F&B team.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports, including breakage/loss forms, bottle sale reports, inter-bar transfer forms, requisition forms, and temperature record sheets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a bar or restaurant setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
