The Client is seeking to recruit an Accountant Supervisor

 Responsibilities:

. Maintaining of clients  accounting ledger/records; 

. Preparation of clients  financial statements in accordance with IFRS/Companies Act/Financial Reporting Act;  

. To lead/assist/review accounting team for the maintenance of accounting ledger/records and prepration of financial statements for clients; 

. Review of clients financial statements prepared by clients; 

. Maintaining of accounting ledger for internal companies and preparation of relative financial statements; 

. Assist in planning of client accounting portfolio and monitoring of deadlines;  

. Preparation of tax computation and deferred tax calculation; 

. Preparation of consolidated financial statements;  

. Assist in preparation of budgets and cash flow for internal companies;

. Preparation of VAT returns;  

. Liaison with auditors for client and internal accounting; 

. Plan and prioritize activities on an ongoing basis for self and team members and follow up effectively on progress to ensure successful completion within set deadlines; 

. Lead projects or participate in projects as may be required, linked to the objectives of the section to ensure implementation as per set standards; 

. Participate in the formulation, communication and implementation of individual and team objectives to ensure focus on initiatives and to faciliate monitoring; 

. Continuously monitor performance of team members in order to identify their areas of improvements and provide adequate training, coaching, placements, rotation to foaster continuous performance improvements; 

. Live and display the company DNA in all daily activities, whilst also ensuring direct reports do the same, in order to uphold and further strengthen the company brand internally and externally  

Profile:

. ACCA or any relevant equivalent qualification; 

. At least 3 years experience with the Accounting field preferably within the Financial/Global; 

. Excellent knowledge of IFRS; 

. Good knowledge of Income Tax and VAT; 

. Leads by example and creates a positive work attitude by focusing on successful accomplishment of objectives; 

. Proactive, self starting, seizing opportunities and taking responsibility for action with can do attitude;

. Models high standards of behaviour within the team, ensuring ethical principles are embedded; 

. Demonstrate technical or professional knowledge and skills related to the job and is able to apply these in a day to day work requirements
