The Purchasing and Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement and logistics functions to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and compliant supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes, from RFQs to PO execution.
• Optimise inventory levels through data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure timely supplier invoice processing and smooth payment cycles.
• Maintain accurate master data (lead times, reorder levels, supplier info).
• Manage supplier non-conformances and ensure timely resolution with the Quality team.
• Evaluate and qualify reliable vendors for cost-effective sourcing.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, transportation, and customs clearance.
• Continuously improve replenishment cycles and inventory turnover via ERP.
• Lead and mentor a team of four professionals (Purchasing Lead & Officer, Logistics Specialist & Officer).
• Foster a performance-driven and analytical mindset.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Regulatory departments.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reports using Sage X3 and BI tools.
• Analyse procurement trends, delivery timelines, and stock movements.
• Provide insights to enhance planning and cost control.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
• Support supplier audits and maintain complete, traceable documentation.
• Collaborate with the Quality team for supplier validation and CAPA actions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in procurement/logistics within a manufacturing or medical device environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, logistics, and inventory management.
• ERP proficiency (preferably Sage X3); capable of creating actionable reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong skills in cost analysis, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
• Understanding of international shipping, incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Raw Materia, logistics and Production supplies budget management.
• Proven team leadership and staff development abilities.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• High level of ethics, integrity, and accountability.
