Electrician

We are recruiting! Our client in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo is looking for an Electrician to join their team for a job vacancy within the Telecom industry.

Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo

Responsibilities:
• Analyzing blueprints and technical diagrams to guide installation and maintenance work.
• Laying and connecting cables and wires.
• Installing systems and components such as circuit breakers, switches, surge protectors,
lightning protection, photovoltaic systems, inverters, battery chargers, Automatic Transfer
Switches (ATS), Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), and Automatic Voltage Regulators
(AVR).
• Inspecting electrical components to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs.
• Ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Conducting diagnostic tests and performing repairs using specialized tools and equipment.
• Maintaining detailed records of work performed and identifying potential future issues.
• Advising on the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment essential for maintaining and repairing power
generators and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
• Capability to perform heavy manual labor when required.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and parts
catalogs.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to assigned tasks.
• Strong record-keeping skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating sound judgment,
flexibility, and creativity in problem-solving.
• Experience in performing minor mechanical repairs with initiative and accuracy.

Work Environment:

Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (additional experience may substitute for formal
education).
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Electrician.
• Proficiency in handling various repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong multitasking abilities.
• Excellent physical condition to handle job demands.
• High level of integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a team.
