As an accounts clerk, You shall ensure complete and systematic recording of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenditure
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain financial records.
- Ensure completeness of all required supporting documentation for processing of financial transactions.
- Process payment to suppliers and ensuring that company accounts are paid on time.
- Post journal entries to the General Ledger.
- Handle inquiries from internal and external sources.
- Prepare and coordinate internal and external audit assignments.
- Ensure that all schedules are always accurate and reconcile up to the Trial Balance.
- Assist in preparation of VAT and TAX returns.
- Perform the duties of the cashier as and when required.
- Any other cognate duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Accounting
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel application and any accounting package.
- Positive, proactive, and dynamic personality with an eye for detail.
- Must be available to work odd hours and meet tight deadlines.
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Being a Self-starter and self-motivated is critical.
