Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The role includes managing cash, processing payments, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.

• Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems

• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods

• Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required

• Maintain a clean and organized cashier area

• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts

• Resolve customer queries or direct them to the appropriate staff

• Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling

• Report discrepancies or issues to the supervisor

• Assist with basic sales or customer service duties as needed

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred

• Basic math and computer skills

• Familiarity with POS systems

• Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
