Job Description

Career Opportunity

C-Care International, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group that owns and operates four healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné, Wellkin, Grand-Baie and Tamarin, and two hospitals in Uganda, C-Care IHK and IMC. C-Care also owns and manages 22 primary care Clinics and 55 C-Lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda, and Madagascar.

C-Care is currently looking for a Brand & Creative Lead to be based at C-Care Corporate Office, in Mauritius.

Brand & Creative Lead

Reporting to the Head of Development, Marketing, and Communication, the selected candidate will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and evolving the C-Care brand identity — covering brand guidelines, visual standards, design templates, and digital touchpoints including the website and mobile App.

What you will be doing:

  • Own and maintain the C-Care master brand guidelines across all entities and markets.
  • Ensure consistent application of brand identity across all touchpoints — print, digital, environmental, and social.
  • Review and approve all branded materials produced by internal teams and external partners.
  • Conduct regular brand audits across all group entities to identify inconsistencies and enforce corrective action.
  •  Act as the primary point of escalation for brand-related decisions across the group.
  •  Define and produce comprehensive brand guidelines tailored to each C-Care entity: hospitals, clinics, C-Lab, and Dentcare across all markets.
  • Develop standardised design templates for recurring communication needs (signage, brochures, presentations, social media, etc.).
  • Ensure templates are practical, on-brand, and accessible to unit-level teams with varying design capabilities.
  • Update brand assets and guidelines in response to strategic brand evolution or market expansion.
  • Provide creative direction and quality oversight for all social media designs across C-Care platforms.
  • Guide and mentor unit designers across the group — providing creative feedback, direction, and brand alignment without direct line management authority.
  • Lead the creative concept and execution for key campaigns and brand activations.
  • Manage select design tasks directly, particularly for corporate-level or cross-entity deliverables.
  • Set and uphold creative standards that reflect C-Care's positioning as a premium healthcare group.
  • Own the brand look and feel of the C-Care website and mobile App.
  • Collaborate with digital and IT teams to ensure UI/UX design is aligned with brand standards.
  • Review and validate digital assets, banners, and interfaces prior to publication or deployment.
  • Champion a consistent and premium digital brand experience across all platforms and markets.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all C-Care markets — Mauritius, Madagascar, and Uganda.
  • Adapt brand assets and templates to local contexts where required, while maintaining group-wide coherence.
  • Support the onboarding of new markets or entities into the C-Care brand framework.
  • Liaise with local marketing teams to cascade brand standards effectively.
  • Plan and execute periodic brand audits across all entities and markets.
  • Document audit findings and produce actionable improvement plans.
  • Track the implementation of brand corrections and improvements over time.
  • Report brand audit outcomes and brand health updates to the Head of Development, Marketing & Communication.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Brand Management, Marketing, or a related creative discipline.  Additional certification in brand strategy, UX/UI design, or digital marketing is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, creative direction, or graphic design — ideally within an agency environment.
  • Proven track record of owning and managing a brand identity across multiple entities or markets.
  • Experience producing and enforcing brand guidelines for complex, multi-brand organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and influence creative teams without formal line management authority.
  • Hands-on design execution experience, with the ability to produce corporate-level creative work independently.
  • Exposure to the healthcare sector or regulated industries is an advantage.
  • Experience working in or with multi-country teams (Africa / Indian Ocean region a plus).
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma.
  • Strong understanding of brand architecture, visual identity systems, and design systems.
  • Knowledge of digital design principles including web, App UI/UX, and social media formats.
  • Ability to develop practical design templates usable by non-specialist teams.
  • Familiarity with print production processes and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word) for corporate brand applications.
  • Understanding of brand governance frameworks across multi-entity organisations.
  • Creative with a strong aesthetic sensibility and an eye for detail.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and brand pride.
  •  Excellent communicator — able to articulate and champion brand decisions clearly to both creative and non-creative audiences.
  • Collaborative and able to influence without authority across diverse, multi-market teams.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  •  Confident and credible with senior stakeholders, including C-Suite.
  • Passionate about design excellence and committed to elevating the brand at every touchpoint.
