Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To conduct sales and technical pre-sales activities and to acquire, update and communicate technical and product knowledge to customers via good written and presentation skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

i.                 Prospect new customers and promote SIL products and services;

ii.               Understand customer needs, prepare and submit business proposals and follow them through;

iii.              Specialise on one or more product lines in order to market those products more efficiently;

iv.              Assist in the execution of the marketing and sales plan and submit relevant activity reports;

v.                Responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders;

vi.              Assist in the management of sales accounts;

vii.            Any other related activities as may be assigned;

viii.           Carry out such acts as shall be required for the proper fulfilling of duties listed under items (i) to (vii) above.

 

RESOURCE TO BE ALLOCATED

(Standard as allocated to employees within Job Level)

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

·        A recognized degree in the area of ICT, Engineering or in Business Management with proven track record in sales of technology or IT solutions to businesses and governments;

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pre-sales or sales of Business Applications or technology or IT solutions;

·        Good understanding of business applications or IT hardware, Networking and Cloud technologies;

·        Vendor certification in innovative technologies or business applications will be an advantage.
