Job Description

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse & Logistics Officer to support daily warehouse operations while contributing to logistics planning and strategic improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient stock management, supporting decision-making processes, and gradually taking on broader logistics responsibilities with potential progression.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:
  • Oversees daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, verification and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP.
  • Maintain proper documentation and stock records.
  • Implement and enforce warehouse procedures and safety standards.
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization.

Logistics & Coordination:
  • Assist in planning and coordinating deliveries and shipments.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch.
  • Support optimisation of logistics processes and cost efficiencies.
  • Optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and transit times.
  • Investigate delivery delays, damages, and customer complaints.

Strategic Support:
  • Assist the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in improving operational workflows.
  • Participate in planning, forecasting, and process enhancements.
  • Analyse stock movement and logistics performance data.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Monitor adherence to warehouse procedures.
  • Coordination and communication with procurement, finance, production, sales, and maintenance teams.

Profile:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in warehouse operations or logistics.
  • Experience in inventory control and stock management systems.
  • Exposure to logistics coordination or transport management is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
  • Understanding of logistics processes and supply chain flow.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinking with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work both operationally and strategically.
  • Leadership potential and willingness to grow.
  • Demonstrates honesty and ethical behaviour.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities. 
  • Manages peak workloads effectively.
