As a Food and Beverage Controller in the Hospitality industry, he/she will be responsible for managing the inventory and cost of food and drinks. Your job is to ensure that the restaurant/coffee shop food and beverage menu is profitable, and the quality of the products meets customer expectations. He/She will be working closely with the Head Chef, Bar Manager, and Restaurant/coffee shop Manager to control the cost, monitor waste, and improve profitability.

Main duties and responsibilities of the job

 

§  Monitor stock levels, ordering supplies, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

§  Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

§  Responsible for budget planning, forecasting, and reporting. 

§  ​Establish and enforce cost control measures to ensure profitable food and beverage operations.

• Develop and implement menu pricing strategies in accordance with market trends and customer preferences.
• Track food and beverage sales, expenses, and waste to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Train and supervise staff in proper handling, storage, and usage of food and beverage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Liaise with vendors to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain accurate financial records and produce regular reports for management.
• Continuously analyze and optimize food and beverage operations to achieve optimal efficiency and profitability.

§  Manage Cash count and credit card control

Job Requirements

At least ACCA level II with 3 years’ working experience.

Good understanding of the operations of restaurants and bars.

Verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of IT systems and well versed in Excel.
