Sofitel Mauritius L'Impérial Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the overall operations of the Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all hotel facilities, equipment, utilities and infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and guest satisfaction. The role includes supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating contractors, supporting the maintenance team, monitoring maintenance requests, controlling costs and ensuring compliance with hotel standards and statutory requirements. The role also includes overseeing attendance, leave and overtime records.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory position within the hospitality industry.
• Strong team management skills.
• Sound knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and building maintenance systems.
• Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements and preventive maintenance practices.
