Job Description

Job Purpose
The Porter will be responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage handling, maintaining the cleanliness of front office areas, and ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Sevice

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and inform relevant departments of guest arrivals.
  • Open vehicle doors for guests upon arrival at the hotel. 

Luggage Handling

  • Unload guests' luggage from vehicles and attach luggage tags for identification.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and deliver luggage promptly.
  • Collect and transport luggage from guest rooms upon departure.
  • Maintain accurate records of all luggage and items stored in the luggage room.
  • Assist guests with luggage during their stay, including room changes and special requests. 

Materials & Equipment Handling 

  • Ensure luggage trolleys are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the lobby area and luggage room at all times.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment to the relevant department.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or guest service is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Physically fit and able to handle luggage safely.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
