Responsible for the purchasing and safekeeping of materials, goods and products for the Hotel day-to-day operation:

• Plan, schedule and manage the purchasing of all materials
• Search for the highest quality at the lowest price
• Regulate physical access to the storerooms and safeguard stored hotel inventory
• Ensure timely stocking and organization of all inventory materials
• Coordinate with Storekeeper to ensure proper storage in the designated store
• Enforce strict sign-in/sign-out protocols for storeroom keys and master lock
• Perform quarterly market surveys on potential suppliers’ prices
• Prepare purchase orders in accordance with the Hotel’s policy and approval process
• Track orders and ensures timely delivery of orders
•   Inspect stock and report any faulty items or inconsistencies
• Review quality of purchased products and verify that all transactions have been correctly updated to respective ledgers
• Conduct regular physical inventory audits and cycle counts, reconciling physical stock against the inventory and Property  Management systems
• Implement loss-prevention best practices (e.g., First-In, First-Out, rotation, perishability tracking)
• Ensure all storeroom activities comply with internal auditing standards and  policies
• Generate regular inventory, variance, and purchasing reports and submit to Financial Controller and management

Core Competencies:

• Higher School Certificate with Accounting at A level or equivalent
• Certificate/Diploma in logistics or business from a recognized institution
• 2 years’ work experience in similar capacity (1 year in hospitality is an advantage)
• Strong stamina and ability to lift weights
• Solid negotiation, sourcing and analytical skills
  
• Proficiency in hotel Materials Control and Microsoft Excel
• Strong work ethics
