Payroll Manager | Grand Baie 3+ Years experience

Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required

·        Minimum 3 years of payroll management experience, ideally within a multi-entity or international environment.
·        Experience working on SAGE 300 / SAGE People would be preferred
·        Strong Excel skills.
·        High degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity when handling sensitive employee data.
·        Experience managing end-to-end payroll processes including onboarding, changes, and terminations.
·        Strong understanding of leave management, benefits administration, and payroll reconciliations.
·        Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
·        Good communication skills to liaise effectively with HR, Finance, and employees at all levels.

Job Description

·        Report to and support Global Payroll Manager
·        Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
·        Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation, statutory deductions, and regulatory reporting requirements.
·        Maintain and update employee payroll records including new starters, terminations, salary changes, and leave balances.
·        Prepare payroll reconciliations, payslips, and related financial postings in coordination with the Finance team.
·        Process and submit all statutory returns
·        Liaise with the HR team to ensure payroll data is aligned with employment records and approved changes.
·        Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
·        Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll data and documentation.
·        Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and controls.
·        Keep up to date with changes in labour and tax legislation affecting payroll.
