Procurement Officer (Non-Technical)

Job Profile
We are looking for a dynamic Procurement Officer (Non-Technical) who will manage the end to end procurement of non technical goods and services in a cost effective and transparent manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting operational efficiency through timely sourcing, supplier management, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities
• Source and procure non-technical goods and services (e.g., office supplies, services, consumables, travel, etc.).
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages.
• Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers.
• Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and performance records.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with finance for invoice processing and payment follow-up.
• Track and report on procurement activities and delivery status.
• Any other cognate duties may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing (non-technical preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and internal controls.
• Analytical mindset with cost evaluation capability.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems
• Strong communication skills in English and French (both written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
