Job Description

Seeking Senior Accounts Executive with 3+ years experience to handle month-end, audits, and statutory compliance.

Role Summary

The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closings, and coordinating internal and external audits. This role requires practical experience in accounting operations, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Record and verify daily accounting transactions, including journal entries.
  • Prepare and post accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
2. Month-End & Year-End Closing
  • Handle monthly closing activities independently within defined timelines.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Analyze variances and prepare supporting schedules for management review.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly MIS and financial reports.
3. Audit & Compliance
  • Support internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete and audit-ready.
  • Assist in implementing audit recommendations.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and follow-ups.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
  • Assist in preparation and filing of VAT/GST, TDS/Withholding Tax returns.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure statutory deadlines are met.
  • Maintain compliance with local laws and regulations.
6. Process Improvement & Controls
  • Support strengthening of internal controls.
  • Identify process gaps and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and SOPs.
Required Skills & Qualifications Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Professional qualification (CA Inter / ACCA / CMA - preferred).
Experience & Knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong hands-on experience in monthly closing.
  • Solid exposure to audit support (internal/statutory).
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Dynamics, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
Soft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
