Associate Product Manager – Core Platform Services

About the opportunity

As part of Dayforce's Product organization, you will help shape and deliver foundational platform capabilities that power the Dayforce ecosystem. These services provide the building blocks that enable scalable, secure, reliable, and performant experiences for developers, customers, and users across all Dayforce products.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Architecture, and Design partners to support the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of core platform capabilities such as shared services, messaging, eventing architectures, job execution, observability, logging, monitoring, and developer experience.

What you’ll get to do

  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering teams to define, deliver, and continuously improve platform capabilities
  • Own and manage a focused area of the product portfolio, helping to drive roadmap execution and product outcomes
  • Work closely with Scrum teams to refine requirements, prioritize work, and ensure successful delivery of product initiatives
  • Gather and analyze feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and product teams to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Support roadmap planning by conducting research, analyzing data, and helping prioritize product investments
  • Monitor product usage, adoption, and operational metrics to identify trends and areas for optimization
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design partners throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Participate in customer conversations, discovery activities, and feedback sessions to better understand user needs and challenges
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform best practices
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI-powered capabilities and AI-assisted development tools to improve product effectiveness and team productivity
  • Communicate product updates, priorities, and outcomes to stakeholders across the organization

Skills and experience we value

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Software Development, Product Operations, or a related field
  • Strong interest in technology products and software development
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data to support decision-making and prioritization
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Scrum practices is an asset
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, APIs, platform services, or enterprise software concepts is an asset
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
