Job Description
We are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Officer – Procurement to join our team at MauBank Ltd. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in the planning and execution of procurement activities in line with established policies and procedures.
· Prepare and process purchase orders, tender documents, and requests for quotations.
· Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
· Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
· Monitor supplier performance and address any discrepancies or issues.
· Support contract management activities, including renewals and evaluations.
· Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best procurement practices.
· Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and provide appropriate solutions.
PREREQUISITES:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain operations, preferably within the financial services sector.
· Familiarity with procurement systems and standard purchasing procedures.
· Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
SKILLS:
· Good communication skill both written and oral
· Good understanding of contract terms and conditions specific to technology engagements
· Understanding of financial analysis and the impacts / savings to be achieved in the procurement categories
· Ability to provide an appropriate level of attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, process driven environment
· Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
· Organisation, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
