Job Description
Litchquor Ltd is a Mauritian company specialising in the development, production and distribution of premium spirits - both locally and internationally. We are currently looking for a Sales Manager as follows:
Responsabilities:
- The Sales Manager is responsible for meeting individual sales objectives as set forth through prescribed sales standards for each sales channel for the product (Local Market and International). This is achieved through selling, merchandising, servicing and successful completion of other related sales duties.
- Demonstrate successful negotiation and selling skills.
- Plan, prepare and conduct marketing/sales events with a view to create more brands awareness and sales growth.
- Prepare sales and marketing plans to management on ppt/excel for discussion.
- Drive plans and actions to increase showroom traffic for rum and other products.
- Utilize analytical tools to identify opportunities and make recommendations to increase sales.
- Build a sales team through recruitment, coaching, performing all evaluations and overseeing performance management plans.
- Demonstrate a strong customer orientation by maintaining a frequent presence with strategic accounts and establishing relationships with key decision makers; resolve account level problems and escalate customer challenges to the Managing Director when necessary.
- Foster positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment
- Perform all necessary administrative functions , invoices and delivery of samples and sales products.
- Able to understand costing and pricing figures and to keep visibility on stock management ie minimum order, arrivals, slow and fast moving etc
- Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publication, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
- Significant functional experience preferably in the spirits industry.
- Some experience of managing direct reports.
- Familiar with Microsoft packages.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Strong negotiating skills, good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Creative and good organizing skills.
- Able to work late/week ends.
- Availability for regular international travel.
