Job Description
The role of the Compliance Associate is to support the effective implementation and maintenance of the organization’s compliance framework by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can contribute to risk mitigation efforts, support compliance monitoring activities, and promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and good governance across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Monitor and support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
· Conduct compliance reviews, checks, and risk assessments.
· Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documentation.
· Maintain accurate compliance records and filing systems.
· Identify, investigate, and escalate compliance issues or breaches where necessary.
· Provide support during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
· Follow up on outstanding compliance matters
· Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant updates internally.
· Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen compliance awareness and best practices.
PREREQUISITES
· Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
· Previous experience in compliance, risk, audit, legal, or regulatory functions would be an advantage.
· Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
· Familiarity with AML/CFT requirements and corporate governance principles is desirable.
· Knowledge of banking operations and risk management principles will be an advantage.
