Job Description
Job Purpose
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, reliable, and cost-effective production. The role supports the introduction of new products, improves existing processes, provides technical support to production and maintenance teams, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Industrialization and New Product Introduction
- Develop manufacturing processes for new products.
- Define efficient and repeatable production methods.
- Support the introduction of new products into production.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze existing production processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Reduce waste, scrap, and production costs.
Design and Technical Documentation
- Design tooling, fixtures, and production aids using SolidWorks.
- Create and update technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure technical documents remain accurate and up to date.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to production teams.
- Assist the Maintenance Department in resolving complex machine issues.
- Investigate recurring production and equipment problems and implement corrective actions.
Training and Process Support
- Train and support Team Leaders and Operators on new products and processes.
- Ensure manufacturing standards and procedures are properly followed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of SolidWorks and technical drawing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Computer literate and comfortable using production monitoring and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
