As part of our continued growth and expanding project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced and motivated MEP Coordinator to join our team.

The Role

The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities throughout the design and construction phases of our projects in the Building centre. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural requirements while maintaining compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

This position requires a proactive professional capable of managing multiple stakeholders, resolving technical issues, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from design coordination through testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Technical Coordination

• Review and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Ensure MEP systems are fully coordinated with architectural, structural, and civil requirements.

• Identify and resolve clashes and design conflicts between disciplines.

• Review and coordinate shop drawings and technical submittals.

• Participate in technical meetings and provide recommendations to optimize project execution.

• Coordinate design changes and ensure timely implementation of approved revisions.

BIM and Coordination Management

• Support BIM coordination activities and clash detection processes.

• Review coordinated models and ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Liaise with consultants, designers, and subcontractors to resolve coordination issues.

• Monitor implementation of approved solutions throughout construction.

Construction and Project Coordination

• Coordinate MEP activities between consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.

• Monitor progress of MEP works and ensure alignment with project schedules.

• Assist site teams in resolving technical and construction-related challenges.

• Participate in coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding actions.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Procurement, Testing and Handover

• Review technical submittals, material specifications, and equipment data sheets.

• Support procurement teams in technical evaluations and material approval processes.

• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems.

• Assist in the preparation of as-built documentation, operation manuals, and project handover documents.

• Support final inspections and project close-out activities.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in MEP coordination within the construction industry.

• Proven experience on large-scale building, infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, or residential projects.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.

• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination tools will be considered a strong advantage.
