Job Summary

One of our client in the mining industry is recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join their finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in accounting, finance, and financial reporting, with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. This internship provides hands-on exposure to accounting operations, financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, invoices, and receipts.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform data entry and update accounting records in a timely manner.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and expense reconciliations.
• Support budget preparation and financial performance monitoring.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Assist in reviewing financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Support audit activities by preparing supporting documentation and schedules.
• Help track deadlines for regulatory submissions and financial reporting.
• Provide administrative and customer support related to finance operations.
• Assist the finance team with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the finance field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to accounting software is an advantage.
• Previous internship or academic exposure in accounting, audit, or finance is beneficial.
