Job Summary

The Bakery Café Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring attractive product presentation, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting the daily operations of the bakery outlet. The role requires teamwork, efficiency, and compliance with hygiene and company standards to deliver a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange bakery and pastry products in display counters and showcases.
• Welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner in line with company service standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve takeaway and dine-in orders promptly.
• Clear and clean tables after customer use.
• Maintain cleanliness of display counters, floors, and back-office areas.
• Refill and replenish product displays as required.
• Work collaboratively with team members and perform duties assigned by supervisors or management.
• Conduct stock counts and assist with inventory management while minimizing wastage.
• Follow food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
• Handle cash register operations and cash control when required.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain high service standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in bakery, pastry, retail, hospitality, or food service is an advantage.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic numeracy and cash handling abilities.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards is an asset.
